Alex's professional journey took her to Florida where she joined TBCI Design, a leading firm specializing in Commercial Foodservice Design consultancy. The firm excelled in designing complex, large-scale hospitality, medical, and educational facilities. Initially hired as a Project Manager, Alex quickly advanced to the role of Project Director due to her exceptional performance. At TBCI Design, Alex assumed various responsibilities and played multiple roles. She not only served as a lead designer on numerous projects but also efficiently managed project coordination for all ongoing construction works. Her duties included coordinating design efforts with the architectural and engineering (A/E) team, assigning tasks to the production studio, ensuring timely delivery of project documents, and overseeing internal quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) drawing reviews at critical milestones. Additionally, she was involved in spec writing. Prior to joining TBCI Design, Alex worked as a Project Architect for the Birmingham-based firm TRO JUNG/BRANNEN. During her tenure there, she primarily focused on establishing a foothold in Florida's competitive healthcare design market. Her work revolved around healthcare-focused designs such as new builds and expansions of hospitals, cancer centers, imaging/laboratories facilities etc. In this capacity at TRO JUNG/BRANNEN, Alex undertook various responsibilities including identifying RFQ solicitations throughout Florida and collaborating with the marketing team based in Birmingham to prepare proposals accordingly. She also played an integral role as part of the presentation team during public works competitions targeting hospital boards and city personnel among others. Furthermore, she led design projects remotely based in Alabama while providing guidance to her design team on intricate renovation projects and new-build facilities across various sectors such as ALF/ILF (Assisted Living Facilities/Independent Living Facilities), Memory Care units, Hospital Bed Towers, ED expansions, and Psychiatric Facilities. She demonstrated expertise in code analysis and compliance along with detailed knowledge of AHCA regulations (Agency for Health Care Administration) and ADPH submittal coordination (Alabama Department of Public Health).
